SPECTACULAR NEW FURNITURE and APPLIANCE SHOWROOM

New Baine Johnston Plaza accommodates greatly expanded Leon’s

-

Inviting upholstered chairs ... sofas of varying dimensions, materials and shades ... dining room arrangements that would persuade you to linger over that evening meal ... occasional pieces – lamps, artwork. At Leon's spectacular showroom on Elizabeth Avenue east, there are so many ways your home can embrace the modern Canadian lifestyle. The new Leon's location was officially opened on Wednesday of this week. The former premises of a Canadian Tire Associate Store, the building has been extended and significantly remodelled. This whole region of St. John's east has become what Chris Collingwood, President of Baine Johnston Ltd., Leon's owners in this Province, says “is clearly the sort of mid-town area of appeal to the consumer.” There are businesses (retailers, professional offices, service stations, coffee shops – and more) all in the immediate neighbourhood of the new Leon's. The new site, to be known as the Baine Johnston Plaza, is different in proportion, colour and styling. Collingwood cites Chimo Construction for “a great job!” A vast 35,000 square feet of space, make this the Province’s largest furniture/appliance showroom. Yet for all its eye-catching space and capacity, it is “user-friendly”. Why? Because the furniture and the appliances convey functionality, design appeal and comfort. These 4 special pages will give you an idea of the new Leon's. They can't hope to convey the whole story but they will encourage you to 'come and see for yourself !'
