Man drowns in Ontario quarry

KINGSTON, Ont. — Police have released the identity of a 24-year-old man believed to have drowned in a quarry in Kingston, Ont., on Sunday. They say the body of Tyler Salter of Kingston was recovered on Monday. Police, firefighte­rs and paramedics were called to the quarry on Sunday afternoon to investigat­e a suspected drowning. Investigat­ors say witnesses reported a man had gone underwater, but did not surface and had not been seen for approximat­ely 10 minutes by the time first responders arrived.
