Our local authors have been busy writing fiction for all ages.

You can borrow Newfoundland and Labrador books from your public library — both the print and ebook versions.

Visit our website (www.nlpl.ca) to check out and download the ebooks from our eLibrary website.

Come to the library with your child or grandchild and take home some of these wonderful picture books: “Around Newfoundland” by Dawn Baker — takes you on trip around the island to discover whales, beaches, Vikings and more; “Bullet: the New Steam Engine” by Dwayne LaFitte — will trundle you across the province on the narrow-track railroad; “Double Trouble at the Room” by Lisa Dalrymple — will cause giggles to erupt as you romp through The Rooms with a polar bear; “Picnic at the Lighthouse” by Nancy Keating — features a funfilled day by a lad and his dad; and “Rhymes from the Rock” by Bonnie Jean Hicks — puts a local twist on beloved rhymes such as “Jack and Jill” or “I’m a Little Teapot.”
