“The Hudson Super-six is strong and holds the world’s record for Endurance and the American record for speed, hill-climbing and acceleration; 5 to 50 miles an hour in 16 seconds; 104 miles per hour for 200 miles; 1819 miles in 24 hours, beating the world’s record for endurance and strength by 52% also the Transcontinental Record Non-stop, New York to San Francisco and return. One of the 1918 “Super” models will arrive by next “Florizel”. This car will take hills on high better than any car in Newfoundland. The Super-six is a beautiful car in appearance. Price, delivered, St. John’s, duty paid, $2,500.” (Equivalent to about $40,000 in today’s money. Not cheap!)
