Actor Rene Auberjonois appearing at Avalon Expo 3
Actor René Auberjonois —Security Chief Odo on “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine” — will be the guest at the Avalon Expo 3 Aug. 25-27 at Mile One Centre.
Auberjonois also played the original Father Mulcahy in the movie, “M*A*S*H,” played Clayton Runnymede Endicott III in the 1980s sitcom “Benson” and starred alongside fellow Trek alumnus William Shatner as Paul Lewiston in “Boston Legal.”
He was also in “Star Trek VI” and an episode of “Enterprise,” besides dozens of roles on popular shows through the decades, as well as voice acting credits and film appearances.
Auberjonois has also directed, voiced audiobooks and has an extensive theatre background.
This is the fifth guest announced for Avalon Expo. There are two “Sailor Moon” guests — Linda Ballantyne, who voiced classic Sailor Moon, and Katie Griffin, who voiced classic Sailor Mars. Also appearing is the sixth doctor of “Doctor Who” — Colin Baker.
Sean Gunn — Kirk of “Gilmore Girls” and Kraglin of “Guardians of the Galaxy” one and two — is the fifth star.
Avalon Expo is a sci-fi/fantasy/comics convention held each August in St. John’s since 2015.
