WHITEHORSE — Two women have been identified as the victims of an apparent double homicide in Whitehorse. Insp. Archie Thompson, the officer in charge of the Whitehorse RCMP detachment, says the bodies of the women were found last Wednesday as officers were called to a home in a subdivision just west of the downtown core.

An RCMP release says the victims are 51-year-old Wendy Carlick and 53-year-old Sarah Macintosh, both of Whitehorse.

No arrests have been made. Thompson says there is no identified risk to the public. Macintosh was a member of the Kwanlin Dun First Nation and the government of Kwanlin Dun is offering support to family members and the community.
