Fewer 13th in Vancouver race that had nearly 40,000 runners

-

Sunday’s Mundy Pond 5K was the second event on the Newfoundland and Labrador Athletic Association’s 2017 road race schedule; the Boston Pizza Flat Out 5K was held earlier this month, when Mundy Pond winner Levi Moulton was the runner-up to Colin Fewer. Fewer, who set a race record in the Flat Out 5K, was not entered in this year’s Mundy Pond event. Instead, the 39-year-old from Paradise was in British Columbia on Sunday competing in the Vancouver Sun 10K, where he finished 13th overall in a race that had 39,347 finishers.

Fewer’s time was 31 minutes flat.

Finishing 35th overall in Vancouver was David Freake of St. John’s in a time of 32:54.
