Living ‘alien’ comes to Earth

- BY MALACHY

In May photographer Jonathan May made a real alien suit and came to Newfoundland from Sydney, Australia to make a movie. His alien’s name is Trevor. He is 6 ft. 2 and 185 pounds and he has extralong limbs and is very nimble. Trevor likes to eat poutine. Before, Jonathan had to use a drone for a camera while he was in the costume and then he found a person the same size and height as him to be Trevor while he filmed. He had to park his R V behind things because people would come and knock on the window for pictures with him. He likes parking by water because it reminds him of surfing. He surfs back in Sydney, Australia.

“Renting the R V on my own has been so much fun, just being able to drive to an unknown spot, pull up and sleep there in the dark and then wake up in a foreign place that is a surprise is so much fun,” Jonathan says. If you didn’t know, an R V is a camper van.

Jonathan says he was a little nervous about coming here by himself when he had not been here before but he was brave and he says you need to believe in yourself and work hard if you want to be successful. He says he was so happy he came here because it was fun. He wants to come back.

When the movie is done you will be able to watch it online. For more information go to www.jonathanmayphotography.com.

My favorite Netflix show The coolest show I’ve ever watched is about four teenage girls. The show is called Project Mc2. This show is a Netflix original. The character’s names are Mckeyla, Adrienne, Camryn and Bryden. It’s about four spy girls who go on missions and trips to lots of places like Paris and hide under dark tunnels. It is a really good show and it teaches me cool and nice things like finger print dust. They even have electric skateboards. It’s an awesome idea! They have red cars that run on water! I would recommend this show for kids in grade one to grade six. I love this show and a lot more people should watch it!
