The 1965 GMC pickup

- Paul Sparkes psparkes@thetelegram.com

When GM advertised its 1965 pickup, it emphasized new and innovative things, such as,

“no tangle of wires behind the instrument panel. In its place is a printed circuit. Only GMC has it.” And the cab, “strong, quiet, comfortable. Two walls of steel with a thick pad of insulation, not just one wall like some.” Inside, adjustable seat back and foam seat.”

The engine? “Exclusive V6 truck engine has gone 120,000 even 150,000 miles before major overhaul. About half that is average.”
