RIDGWAY Maurice

-

Died peacefully, October 3, 2017, aged 90 years. He now sleeps in death awaiting the return of the Saviour he followed faithfully, knowing that one day "the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout and with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first", 1Thesselonians 4v16. And so will begin the time spoken of by Isaiah the prophet, "For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. He shall judge between the nations, and shall rebuke many people; they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; and nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore." Isaiah 2v3, 4. Leaving to mourn, his loving wife of 58 years, Beulah, their children Janet (Jim) Keating, Paul (Marsha) Ridgway, David (Jill) Ridgway, Elizabeth (Gary) Hynes, Alicia (Dave) Billington, and 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. The family would like to express thanks for the many acts of kindness and support shown to them by so many people over the past three years of Maurice's illness, especially their brethren and sisters in Christ of the Christadelphian faith. Thanks also to all the staff at St. Pat's Mercy Home for the wonderful care he received, especially on 2N. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Friday, October 6th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.
