Back-to-back has a ring to it
Derek Clancey, along with the Pittsburgh Penguins players, had one last moment with the Stanley Cup Wednesday night during the Pens’ season-opening game in Pittsburgh. The team’s director of pro scouting also got his latest Stanley Cup championship ring, which has 390 diamonds for a total of .925 carats. It’s Clancey’s third ring, after Pittsburgh won in 2009 and 2016. Clancey also has his name engraved on the Cup (in alphabetical order, just before Sidney Crosby’s name). Clancey enjoyed a day with the Cup in his native St. John’s during August.
