Bicycle-vehicle collision
A young female cyclist was taken to hospital Thursday evening after she was struck in St. John’s centre by a vehicle. The incident occurred at the intersection of Empire Avenue and Freshwater Road and was reportedly a low-speed impact that only resulted in minor injuries to the victim. She was examined by paramedics on scene and hospitalized as a precaution. The incident is under investigation by the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary.
