1. At the end of Chapter 6, Henry thought he saw a tear well up in the green-haired Ogre-beast’s eye. Do you think these were tears of joy or sadness?

2. How did the Ogre-beast react to Henry’s offering of flowers?

3. What did they offer Henry in return? How does Henry respond?

4. The Ogre-beasts were curious about Henry and wondered if he was “the one” the whispering trees said to expect. What did Henry do to make them believe he was “the one?”
