Friday Night Showshoe Hike The Outfitters are excited to offer weekly guided snowshoe hikes, with new locations each time. Hikes are approximat­ely five km and are about two hours long, and accessible for all ages and abilities. $10 per person, or $40 for a season pass. If you require rentals, please add the request ($10) to your registrati­on and we will bring them out for you! Mardi Gras Night at The Fluvarium 3rd Annual Mardi Gras Night at The Fluvarium with Billy and the Bruisers. There will be hors d’oeuvres, prepared by The Fluvarium’s own Red Seal Chef Antoine Harding, games, and auction items ranging from art to gift certificat­es. The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. with a glass of champagne, mask and beads at the door, some New Orleans-inspired jazz music, and a little clowning around. Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe Presented by Holy Heart of Mary

Sleep as a Foundation for Health A free public lecture by Dr. Sheila Garland, a clinical psychologi­st and assistant professor of psychology and oncology at Memorial University. She is the director of the Sleep, Health and Wellness Lab. Join Dr. Garland in IIC-2001, Bruneau Centre for Research and Innovation at Memorial University and learn how to use the latest in sleep science to improve your overall health and well-being. She will talk about why we sleep, how we sleep, and how to fix your sleep if it gets off track. Free parking in Lot 17.
