Get together to knit, share ideas and patterns, and chat with your family and friends. Ages 10 to 13 must be accompanie­d by an adult. Bring your current knitting projects and anything you wish to share to our monthly drop-in sessions at the Paul Reynolds Community Centre. Cost is $3 per person.

2 p.m.

Line Dancing for Beginners Drop by the Blackmarsh Legion every Tuesday and learn new dance moves with our line dancing instructor, Doug England. $3 per session, with a closing ceremony on April 24.

The One With the ‘Friends’ Trivia Night

Do you fancy yourself a “Friends” fanatic? Maybe you are. But do you know what we don’t know that you know we know? Join us at Mochanopol­y, 204 Water St., and test your knowledge of all 10 seasons of our favourite show. Entry fee is $5 per person, and teams should be comprised of two to four people. Winning prizes to be announced. Pre-register your team by messaging Mochanopol­y on Facebook, including your team name, number of people and names of each player. Space is limited.

Weekly Crib Game

The weekly crib game in support of Ronald Mcdonald House continues in the basement of St. Teresa’s Church. Admission is $5 per person, with a prize for the winner. We have many people able to teach the game as you go along, so no experience is required. All are welcome for an evening of fun while supporting a good cause.

Family History Society Lecture A lecture by Shane O’dea, professor of English and public orator at Memorial. O’dea has long been involved with preservati­on in Newfoundla­nd and his topic is “The Genealogy of a House: Researchin­g an 1834 Structure in John’s.” The meeting will be held at Hampton Hall, Marine Institute, Ridge Road. Admission is free. Free parking is available.
