Gibraltar Homes to match $3,000 grant from the Provincial Government’s New Home Purchase Program.

-

Monday, the Honourable Tom Osborne, Minister of Finance and President of Treasury Board, along with the Honourable Lisa Dempster, Minister Responsible for the Newfoundland and Labrador Housing Corporation (NLHC), announced new programs to make it easier for new home buyers to purchase their first home. As part of Budget 2018, $1 million has been allocated for a New Home Purchase Program. The program will provide grants of $3,000 to individuals and families to go toward the down payment of newly constructed or existing new homes never sold or occupied that are valued under $400,000 including HST. The 330 grants provided in 2018-19 will be issued to the first home buyers who apply and qualify. Gibraltar Homes will match the $3,000 Government grant to all its newly constructed homes, giving a home buyer a total of $3,000 off their down payment and an additional $3000 off the price of their home. This new home purchase program will certainly help achieve the dream of new home ownership. All remaining new homes at our Glendale Gardens project on Glendale Avenue in Mount Pearl are fully qualified to take advantage of this amazing incentive offered from the Provincial Government and Gibraltar Homes.
