CFUW Book Collection The Canadian Federation of University Women St. John’s is collecting gently used books for their Great Big Book Sale coming up May 14-16. Books can be dropped off between Monday and Saturday from 11 a.m to 3 p.m., and Sunday from 1-3 p.m. We accept fiction and non-fiction for all ages and interests. We cannot take encycloped­ias, textbooks, Readers’ Digest Condensed Books, magazines, or outdated technology manuals. Located in Woodgate Plaza on Kenmount Road between Toys R Us and Quiznos. Easter Saturday Communion Service Wesley United Church will hold an Easter Saturday communion service with a reception to follow. Persons needing transporta­tion to and from the church should call the church office at 579-3682 and leave a message if necessary. All are welcome. Easter Luncheon and Card Game The Church of St. Mary the Virgin ACW is hosting its Annual Easter Luncheon & Card Game. Offering main course of saucy chicken, rice and veggies. For dessert, there’s cookies and fruit salad. After lunch, there will be a card game of 120’s or bridge. Tickets are $20, and are available from the church office by calling 579-0039, or call Anita at 368-0005. Tickets must be purchased by April 4.
