Commissioner Justice Richard Leblanc is looking for anonymous input from people past and present with knowledge of the Muskrat Falls project.

The Commission of Inquiry Respecting the Muskrat Falls Project has established a number of ways to get in touch with the inquiry anonymously, as Grant Thornton carries out its forensic audit of the project.

In a statement, Grant Thornton spokesperson Vicky Rivers says the process, known as confidential anonymous reporting for employees, or CARE, is in addition to other reporting methods.

“As part of our investigative audit work, Grant Thornton facilitates protective communication channels until a matter is resolved by an organization.

CARE is not meant to replace any programs that have already been established by an organization, but instead acts as an add-on,” said Rivers.

Past and present employees of Nalcor and the provincial government, as well as any vendors or consultants who have been involved in any way with the project, can visit a secure website (grantthorntoncare.ca), call a confidential toll-free number (1-888-4842273), send anonymous emails (usecare@ca.gt.com) or send letters to a secure postal box to come forth with any information they may have.

All information will be received directly by Grant Thornton, according to a news release from the commission.

Anonymous submissions will be accepted by Grant Thornton until Aug. 31.
