Cash only. Bring bags for your books. There are over 40,000 gently used books for sale for all ages and interests. This sale supports scholarships and community outreach of the St. John’s CFUW.

Dr. Catherine Field from the University of Alberta will give a free public lecture at the Bruneau Centre, Room IIC-2001, at Memorial University in which she will present new recommendations and research that provides evidence we can feed our babies better to prevent food allergies. Preserving by Encapsulation Encapsulation is a preservation method used by libraries, museums and archives for storing and protecting frequently handled paper items, such as posters, maps and architectural plans. The A.C. Hunter Public Library is pleased to partner with the Museum Association of Newfoundland and Labrador to host this hands-on mini-workshop where participants will learn how to encapsulate an item of their choosing. This is an adults-only program; sharp knives will be involved and materials will be supplied. Workshop takes place at the A.C. Hunter Public Library’s 1st floor community room. Registration is limited.
