Ongoing NSO welcomes The Tenors
The Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra (NSO) is happy to announce that tickets are on sale now for the NSO Exxonmobil Big Ticket, the NSO’S annual fundraiser. The concert will take place on Oct. 11 at Mile One Centre and will feature The Tenors, backed by the NSO. A decade after forming in their native Canada, The Tenors are an international success story. Gutsy Walk for Crohn’s and Colitis The Eastern Avalon Chapter of Crohn’s and Colitis Canada is holding its annual Gutsy Walk event at St. Theresa’s School on Mundy Pond Road. The fun family event takes place across Canada each year to raise funds for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis research and patient programs. Event registration begins at 1 p.m. and the walk starts at 2 p.m. around Mundy Pond. Refreshments will be served after the walk and there will be fun activities for kids.
