Featuring: Steve O’connell, Berni Stapleton, Darryl Hopkins, Steve Maloney, Brianna Gosse and Kevin Woolridge and original music composed by The Once. First Responder’s Memorial Motorcycle Ride There will be a motorcycle ride taking place from St. John Bosco School in Shea Heights with registrati­on at 8:30 a.m., and the ride starting at 10 a.m. This is the third annual First Responder’s Memorial Motorcycle Ride, in memory of

paramedic Chris Pearce. All proceeds support TEMA. Registrati­on is $20 per motorcycle. Merchandis­e for purchase available on site. MONDAY, JULY 30 History 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Other Women Walk A historical walking tour featuring multiple performanc­es at standing stops in and around Bannerman Park. Profession­al actors perform as various women from 1922 St. John’s. The tour departs twice daily: at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on weekdays between July 23 and Aug. 10, rain or shine, from the corner of Rennies Mill Road and Circular Road. Film Ongoing Applicatio­ns for Incubator Project The St. John’s Internatio­nal Women’s Film Festival is accepting proposals from female-identifyin­g applicants in Atlantic Canada for our annual Incubator Project. This year’s new focus is women who want to develop and produce their first scripted web series. Five projects will be selected to participat­e in this developmen­t program. The five chosen winners are given full delegate pass to the festival’s screenings and film industry forum. They are also matched with leading industry experts from across Canada for one-on-one consultati­ons and meetings to further develop their projects, including Andra Sheffer from the Independen­t Production Fund. At the end of the week, winners are given the opportunit­y to pitch their projects to producers and organizati­ons at the Face 2 Face Pitch Session. Other perks and prizes include a $1,000 gear rental certificat­e from Sim Internatio­nal for each winner to help make their series a reality. Reel Downtown Outdoor Movie The St. John’s Internatio­nal Women’s Film Festival and Downtown St. John’s present a free screening of last year’s Festival short, “Waste It,” written and directed by Emily Bridger. ‘Fleming’ – A Walking Tour The award-winning “Fleming” — a walking tour —runs until Aug. 23 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week. This one-ofa-kind tour received a Manning Award from the Historic Sites Associatio­n of Newfoundla­nd and Labrador for exceptiona­l public presentati­on of Newfoundla­nd history. Paul Rowe, in the character of Bishop Michael Anthony Fleming, takes his audience on a tour like no other. “Fleming” tells the story of the Basilica — with little known facts about the constructi­on, and the social issues of the times — in a fresh and engaging manner.
