SMITH Alfred (Alf)

Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Center on September 6, 2018 Alfred (Alf) Smith aged 85 years. Alf is predecease­d by his wife Mary Norma, his parents George and Annie Smith, his brothers George and Jim, his sister Muriel, his very special aunt Bridget Griffin, and his nephew Donny. Leaving to mourn his brothers Edward (Margie), Ron (Mary), Paul (Jenny), Bob and Gary (Joan); sister-inlaw Doreen Smith; many nieces and nephews especially Keith (Elaine), Deanne (Jamie) their two children Molly Ann and Nicholas; Paul Andrew (Alice) their two children Andrew and Claire Norma; Mark (Sherri Lynn) their two children Evan and Ryan Alfred and Peter. He also leaves to mourn his sisterin-law (friend) Margaret Smith (Power); lifelong friend Mike Martin (Patsy) and his special friend Elaine Luther. Alf made many friends at Tiffany Village where he resided over the past couple of years. He really enjoyed all of the staff, particular­ly those on the second floor who took such good care of him. His family would like to thank those who cared for him both at Tiffany Village and the 4 South “B” unit of the Health Sciences Center. Alf will be remembered by most of the Bowling fraternity in the Province, particular­ly those who bowled at St. Pat’s Alleys on Bonaventur­e Ave., he will be remembered as an avid Fisherman and Hunter and a great outdoors person, but most of all he will be remembered as a very caring person. He loved his family and he spent his lifetime helping and caring for them in every way he could. We will miss him dearly. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, Lemarchant Road with visitation­s on Saturday, September 8th from 1:30pm-5pm and 7pm-9pm and again on Sunday, September 9th from 1:30pm-5pm and 7pm-9pm. Funeral Mass on Monday, September 10th, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Pius X Parish with interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted, or donations may be made in Alf’s memory to St. Pius X Church.
