Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on October 9, 2018, Ethel B. Picco, aged 85 years. Predecease­d by her husband of 39 years Walter; parents Nathaniel and Elizabeth Noseworthy; daughter Sherry Shea; nephew Norman Noseworthy and 11 brothers and sisters. Leaving to mourn 2 daughters Erica and Candy; 3 sons Henry (Elaine), Eddy (Opah) and Roger (Rita); son-inlaw Bernie Shea; grandchild­ren Andrea (Matthew), Desmond (Heather), Jeremy (Christine), Melissa (Patrick), Mark, Lisa, Michael (Andrew), Wally (Maggie), Dora (Devon), Pakak, Steven, Katie, Virginia, Kristen and Robert; great grandchild­ren James, Thomas, Nathan, Madison, Mason, Mackenzie, Samual, Abigail, Lauren, Ciara, Vivian-rose and Nova; sister in law Evelyn Field and Niece Bertha Legrow; also other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank the staff and residents of North Pond Manor and St. Patrick’s Mercy Home for their care and compassion shown towards Ethel during her time with them. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Thursday Oct 11 from 7-9 p.m. and Friday October 12 from 10-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from St. Lawrence Anglican Church, Portugal Cove, on Saturday October 13 at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at St. Lawrence Anglican Cemetery, Bauline Line Ext. In Lieu of flowers, donations in Ethel’s memory may be made to St. Lawrence Anglican Church, St. Patrick’s Mercy Home or the Diabetes Associatio­n, NL Chapter.
