Passed peacefully away at the Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear in the early hours of Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at the age of 92 years. She was a long-time member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 10 Portugal Cove. Predecease­d by her parents Gilbert and Sarah, husband Alexander, brothers Hedley (Ethel), William (Anne), sister Margaret (Lloyd); brothers-inlaw Eden Dyer, Ronald Oates, Andrew Hiscock (Violet), Bill Andrews (Grace), Ralph Andrews (Queen), Cyril Andrews (Rose), Wilson Andrews; sisterin-law Clara Garland (Frank). Leaving to mourn sons Robert and Wayne (Sharon); daughter Karen Meulenkamp (Chris); grandchild­ren Sarah, Michelle, Michael, Sean, Stephen, Emma & Meghan; great grandchild­ren Judah, Alex and Cameron; sisters Emma Dyer, Gladys Oates, Ruby Schwab (Albert), Verda Greening (Fred); brother John Ash (Emma); brother-in-law Alwyn Andrews (Susie) and a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to thank the staff of the Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, 4 south for their care and compassion shown towards Millicent during her time there. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home (329 Freshwater Road, St. John’s) on Saturday, October 13 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Sunday, October 14 from 10:00 Am to 9:00 PM. Funeral service will take place from St. Lawrence Anglican Church on Monday, October 15 at 2:00 PM, with interment to follow in St. Lawrence Church Cemetery, Bauline Line, Portugal Cove.
