Upcoming Spirit Song Festival

Spirit Song Festival is a yearly Indigenous arts festival that focuses on highlighti­ng talented Indigenous artists from this province and across the country. The festival will be held Nov. 16-17, with many activities planned for the whole community. The entire event is free and open to the public. It will include workshops and stage shows.

Upcoming Fall Book Sale

Mark your calendar — the fall book sale by the Friends of St. John’s Public Library is coming up on Oct. 27 at the A.C. Hunter Children’s Library on Allandale Road. There will be a wide variety of books for all ages and stages of reader, as well as some music CDS. Great prices, and funds from the sale go to support public library programs. Donations of gently used books welcome. Please drop them off at either of the three branches labelled St. John’s Library Board.
