Mark your calendar – the fall book sale by the Friends of St. John’s Public Library is coming up on October 27 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the A.C. Hunter Children’s Library on Allandale Road. There will be a wide variety of books for all ages and stages of reader, as well as some music CDS. Great prices, and funds from the sale go to support public library programs. Donations of gently used books welcome. Please drop them off at either of the three branches labelled St. John’s Library Board.

VOWR will be holding its annual Radiothon today from 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. VOWR volunteers will be on the air requesting financial pledges with the proceeds going towards VOWR’S operational expenses.
