Help animals find a home by supporting Heavenly Creatures’ fall flea market coming up on Saturday at the Remax Centre. You can help by making a donation or volunteeri­ng. A variety of items will be accepted for donation for the flea market — everything except clothing and old electronic­s. Donations will be accepted from noon to 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 26 at the Remax Centre. Upcoming Fall Book Sale

Mark your calendar — the fall book sale by the Friends of St. John’s Public Library is on Oct. 27 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the A.C. Hunter Children’s Library on Allandale Road. There will be a wide variety of books for all ages and stages of reader, as well as some music CDS. Great prices, and funds from the sale go to support public library programs. Donations of gently used books welcome. Please drop them off at either of the three branches labelled St. John’s Library Board.
