Passed peacefully away on Wednesday, October 24 at the L. A. Miller Centre surrounded by his loving family, Robert (Bob) Farrell aged 70. Predecease­d by his parents Katherine and James, brothers Donald and Edward, mother-in-law Greta Wheeler, father-in-law Kenneth Wheeler, and sister-in-law Peggy Ruby. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Barbara; children Brian (Laura), Erin (Douglas Maccon) and James (Erin Delaney); grandchild­ren Anneliese and Eoghan Farrell, and Bridget Maccon; brother Thomas Farrell (Jennifer); sisters Marian Manning (Gary), and Annette Conway (Robert); brothers-inlaw Kenneth Wheeler, Gary Wheeler (Bonnie), Clarence Wheeler (Betsy), and Gerald Ruby (Peggy, deceased); sistersin-law Harriet Farrell (Edward, deceased), Janice Ryan (Harold), and Ada Canning; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family. He will be especially missed by his Dart Club friends. Devoted to his family, community and church, Bob’s final years were lit up with sunshine brought by his three precious grandchild­ren who gave him great joy. Bob was immensely proud of his three children and devoted to his wife Barb, his rock. For Bob family was his world. He was always available to help those around him and did so with love. Bob’s legacy to his community and church will be remembered by all. The family would like to give thanks and appreciati­on to all who helped Bob in his battle, especially to his extended family, neighbors and friends for all their help, visits and kindness. Our gratitude extends to Dr. Rossiter, the staff at the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Centre (Dr. Greenland and Dr. Stuckless) and to Dr. Rorke for his outstandin­g care and compassion over the past four years. Finally, thanks to caregivers (especially Yvonne Careen) and the staff at the palliative care unit of the Dr. Leonard A. Miller Centre. Cremation has taken place. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, Lemarchant Road. Visitation on Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, October 29, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Kevin’s Parish, Goulds. Donations in lieu of flowers to Daffodil Place or The Gathering Place, or to a charity of choice.
