It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our wonderful Aunt, Regina Maria Murphy RN at the Dr. Leonard A. Miller Center on Nov 4, 2018 at the age of 84. She is predeceased by her parents Mary Ann (Cooke) Murphy and Martin Murphy, her only sister Margaret Raymond and her nephew, Thomas Raymond. Leaving to mourn are her nephews and nieces: Larry Raymond (Karen), Marty Raymond (Mary), Paulette Raymond (Dave), Gerard Raymond (Sheri), Michele Haire (Brian), Denise Debiasi (Frank), Michael Raymond (Martha), Mary Sampson (Jeff), Doris Ringer (Jeff), Eve Raymond and Tracy Muise (Owen). Her many great nieces and nephews, greatgreat-nieces and nephews who Aunt Jeanie loved and spoiled, will miss her dearly. Family meant everything to Regina and she had a special connection to her many Crane/murphy/ Healey relatives. Remembered by her colleague and close friend Esther Buckley and her dear friend of more than 60 years, Julia Aylward. Julia was a pillar of strength to all of us over the past few months. Regina had a wonderful career as an RN and took great pride in being a nurse. She graduated from St. Clare’s School of Nursing in 1955 and was class Valedictorian and Editor-in-chief of the yearbook. She especially loved mental health and neonatal nursing and used her extensive experience and knowledge to train student nurses while working as a clinical instructor at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. At St. Clare’s she met lifelong friends in her co-workers. Regina was an avid pet lover and her cats, Marmalade, Mattea and Dewey were well loved and very spoiled. At Regina’s direction, cremation has taken place. The family would like to say heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Dr. Leonard A. Miller Centre (3 South and Palliative Care Unit) who took excellent care of Regina and treated her with kindness and kept her comfortable. Visitation to take place on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Caul’s Funeral Home, 84 Lemarchant Road.
