CHANCEY Ronald “Tom” Alexander

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald “Tom” Alexander Chancey on Sunday, November 18, 2018. Predecease­d by his wife, the love of his life: Marguerite; parents: Stanley & Mae Chancey; sister: Edith Wilson; and brothers: Gordon, Harold, Ralph, Fred & Clarence Chancey. Leaving with wonderful memories are his loving daughter, Christine Butler (Geoff); son, Tom Chancey (Rosilyn); his precious grandchild­ren: Justin Butler (Ashley Jig Jessome), Melissa O’hara (Matthew) and Michael Butler (Amy); his great-grandson Wyatt O’hara (a.k.a. “The Little Tom Cod”). His brother, Ern Chancey; his sister-in-law Nell Spurrell and brother-in-law Cecil Murdoch. As well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and many wonderful friends. A special thank you to the staff at Meadowcree­k Retirement Centre, who were so kind and caring to him. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Wednesday, November 21st, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held from Barrett’s Chapel on Thursday, November 22nd at 2pm. Inurnment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. Reception to follow the inurnment at Barrett’s Reception Lounge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tom’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of one’s choice.
