Passed away at home on Monday, November 19th, 2018. Harold Stanley Carter of Topsail, CBS, aged 83 years. Predecease­d by his parents, Munden and Annie Carter; four brothers: James, Richard, Ralph and Peter Carter; four sisters: Marion Putprush, Gladys Quinn, Margory Basiel, and Florence Supple. Leaving to mourn, Emily, his loving wife of sixty-five years; sons: Bruce (Sandra), and David, daughter; Roxanne. Harold dearly loved his grandchild­ren: Christian (Holli), and Joshua Corbett, Sara (John Garland) and Adam Carter. Harold’s great-grandchild­ren; Charlie, Cohan, and Emre Corbett, and Ben and Jacob Carter-garland were precious to him. Harold leaves one sister, Betty Page (Bob) in Windsor, Ontario, and a large circle of sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, and many devoted friends and co-workers. Harold worked for many years as a mechanic at the Royal Garage before starting his excavation business. At Harold’s request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Chapel, Commonweal­th Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Friday, November 23rd, at 2:00pm. Inurnment to take place at a later date.
