Nora (Ryan) Andrews age 87, passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2018.

She was born to the late Jerome (Daddy Jer) and Elizabeth (Nanny) in St. Joseph’s, Salmonier on June 7th, 1931. Family, friends and fishing were her passion and delight and she loved nothing more than to gather everyone up at her cabin for a flick, a feed and a fire. Nora is predecease­d by her husband Chris Andrews. Leaving to remember her with love, her companion of 20 years John Harte and his family. She is survived by her sisters Regina Browne and Ester O’brien and her brother Larry Ryan. Gone before her are her brothers Gabe, Clem, Jerome, Jim, Eddie, and her special fishing buddy Alban. She leaves behind to celebrate her love and life, a large blended immediate family Terri Andrews and husband Wayne Pardy, their children Beth Hartling and Mark Pardy; Joan Andrews Conroy and husband Jim Conroy, their children Tara Bowers, Caelie Conroy, Meghan Conroy: Jeannie Harding and husband Max Harding, their children Jason Bowering, Ryan Bowering, Ashley Reid; Gail Christophe­r and husband Mark Christophe­r, their children Tyler Leeds, Mark Christophe­r Jr.; Chris Andrews and wife Sandy Andrews; Patricia Andrews and her daughter Monet Hoyt; Joe Andrews and wife Sarah Andrews, their children Brendan and Emily; John Andrews and Shauna Andrews, their children Eve, Christophe­r and Grace and special niece Colleen Kieley and friend Jean Rowsell. Noraalso has greatgrand­children who she dearly loved, Madison, Sabrina, Mark, Claire, William and Zach. Mom was also blessed with a second loving family at Agnes Pratt Nursing Home who cared for and loved her for the past 3 years. While too numerous to mention individual­ly, Nursing, Physio, OT, Facilities, Housekeepi­ng, Recreation, Administra­tion, Social Work, Clergy and Food Services staff as well as special friends Sophie, Ruby, Betty, and Bill Best who made each day special and interestin­g. You were so appreciate­d and loved. A very, very special thank you to Dr. Blair Flemming, Dr. Sean Martin and Sarah Coady NP for your true dedication to quality and compassion. Nora lived every moment of every day with a positive outlook and to the fullest. She believed in making each day count and never stopped looking for new experience­s. In her senior years, she made her first stage appearance and recently did a TV Commercial for NAPE, of which she was a proud member for so many years. She was also President of the Resident Council at Agnes Pratt Nursing Home, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and a member of the Benevolent Irish Society. As per Nora’s request cremation has taken place. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home 84 Lemarchant Road. Visitation on Friday from 12noon – 9pm and Saturday from 10am – 2pm. Funeral Service Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 2:30pm from Caul’s Chapel. Burial will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation in Nora’s memory can be made to The Gathering Place.

While she will be sorely missed by us all, she can’t ever be forgotten, she made sure of that!
