Art for Christmas

The Leyton Gallery of Fine Art proudly presents Art for Christmas – a visually and conceptually diverse exhibition of new works by 25 artists. This time of year, it’s always a treat to see all the artists come together to celebrate and see their recent works. There will be watercolour, printmaking, photography, encaustic and mixed media. A selection of Bonnie Leyton’s recent show at the Craft Council, “Subjective Impressions” will be on display as well. The opening reception is today from 3 to 5 p.m. The exhibition will run until Dec. 31.

The River

The Leyton Gallery of Fine Art proudly presents The River, a solo show by John Maccallum. “In these smaller works, I’m using the river as a metaphor for our journey through time and space. Each of us is travelling down a stream of experience, often yearning for a different course. Caught in the flow of our own life, we often struggle to make the leap from one tributary to another, before we reach our ultimate destination.” This show will coincide with the gallery’s Art for Christmas, with the opening reception also happening today from 3 to 5 p.m. The exhibition will run until Dec. 29.
