Passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit of the Dr. L.A. Miller Centre on Tuesday, September 10, 2019, at age 76. Predecease­d by her parents Lillian & Graham Dawe; brother Graham Jr.; and sister-in-law Rosemary Dawe. Left with fond and loving memories are Jean’s husband and best friend Donald; cherished daughter Virginia (Garry Mcneil) and precious granddaugh­ter Amelia; 2 sisters: Marilyn (Randy Noseworthy) and Dawn (Pat Ring); and 4 brothers: Len, Ches (Joan), Cliff, and Perry (Theresa). Also lovingly remembered are sisters-in-law Cecilia Dawe and Gayle Taylor (Greg Smith); Don’s special Aunt June Noseworthy; a large circle of the Dawe, Perry, Hillier, and Noseworthy families (including many nieces, nephews and other relatives); and special friends. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Noreen Fardy and Dr. Louise Rogers along with the staff of the Palliative Care Unit for their exceptiona­l care and support. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonweal­th Avenue, Mount Pearl on Thursday and Friday, September 12th and 13th, from 10:00am - 12:00pm, 2:00pm 4:00pm, and 7:00pm - 9:00pm. Funeral service to be held at the Church of St. Michael and All Angels, Kiwanis Street, on Saturday September 14th at 11:00am. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery on Kenmount Road. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Choral Scholarshi­p Fund of St Michael and All Angels Church in Jean’s memory are most graciously appreciate­d.
