It is with great sadness that the family of Carmel Joseph Crane (nee White) announce the peaceful passing of their mother at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home on September 12, 2019 at the age of 87 years. Predecease­d by her husband and best friend Charles Augustine Crane; parents John Joseph and Anna Marie White; brothers Michael, Martin and Thomas; sisters Margaret, Clare and Ellen. Leaving to mourn children Maria Noseworthy (Ken), Wanda Snelgrove (Jim), Regina Costello (Tony), Elizabeth Thompson, Charlie Crane (Annette), Paula Barrington (Patrick), Doug Crane (Natasha); grandchild­ren Trina Whiffen, Jason Snelgrove, Ronald Thompson, Heather Costello, Sarah Thompson, Lisa Noseworthy, Deirdre Costello, Lindsay Noble, Emily Costello, Melanie Crane, Kaleigh Barrington and Olivia Crane; her precious great-grandchild­ren Zachary Hayes, Jessica Hayes, Janna Whiffen, Grace Snelgrove, Jameson Furlong, Carson Noble, Kate Snelgrove and Stella Stentaford, all of whom she dearly loved; brothers George and John; sisters Barbara, Catherine and Marcella (Mike); as well as a large number of nieces and nephews. Particular mention goes out to niece Patsy Chafe and Ron Thompson of whom Mom had a special fondness. The family will be forever grateful to all the staff at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home and the Pastoral Care Team who provided exceptiona­l care and quickly became extended family during Mom’s stay on 1North. Again, a heartfelt thanks to all. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, Lemarchant Road. Visitation on Saturday, September 14, 2019 and Sunday, September 15, 2019 from 1:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm. Funeral Mass will take place at 9:30am on Monday, September 16, 2019 from Corpus Christi Church with interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
