-

Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, surrounded by his loving family, as he would have wanted, on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, following a long and courageous battle, Wally Robinson, age 80 years. Predeceased by his father Edward John; mother Anne; sisters: Audrey and Eleanor; brother Mervin. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife of 54 years, Viola (nee Moores); daughters: Susan (Tony Rolfe), Cindy and Debbie; granddaughters: Kaitlin, Chelsea, Kylie and Rachel; sister Sandra; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Wally was a wellrespected gentleman who was known for being thoughtful, considerate and polite. His final gift to his family were these heartfelt written words: “I loved my family sincerely, and was always grateful for the love, care and respect that you always showed, and gave me, without it, my life would have been much more challenging and shorter”. He lived with dignity and showed unending respect for those providing his care. A special thank you is extended to the many healthcare professionals who cared for Wally, especially Dr. Barry Rose, Dr. William Grant, Dr. Sean Connors, Dr. Doug Drover, nurse practitioners Rody Pike and Angela Andrews, and to the staff of 5SB at the Health Sciences Centre for their wonderful care and compassion. To respect his final wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a private family service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Wally’s memory may be made to the Healthcare Foundation.
