Dear Political bashers ...

-

We have forgotten that differing views can create diversity, inclusion, and most of all opportunity.

We have forgotten how to improve and excel with that diversity and our powerful collective intelligence.

Instead politics is a cesspool of pointing fingers, a fighting ring of opposition, and bullying. It is a fighting ground designed now for entertainment and ratings in media. Why?

We did this ... we allow it.

It’s really sad because ultimately it is at the expense of our leadership culture and our future.

It is creating uncertainty in our economy and anxiety in our children.

Why is there so much hate, bashing and bullying?

The simple answer is .... as long as we can blame someone else we don’t have to be responsible for creating a great future ourselves.

Blame is easy and convenient and it is the most destructive force in politics.

We need a culture of leadership and true leadership does not tolerate abuse. Politics needs to be run like a business. It requires a no blame culture and structures of constant improvement.

If we are going to fight for anything let’s fight to be educated and to understand differing vantage points.

If we are going to blame, blame ourselves for not changing a system that perpetuates hate.

If we are going to post on social media our anger and outrage do so at what our current system needs to change and then come with a solution you are willing to stand behind in order to fix it.

We need a voting system so people can vote in the topics of the day rather than give power over to political parties. If we had that option, to be educated on all angles and bring in the votes of voices and choices of the people. Then and only then blame of civil servants would diminish.

Solutions are what we need and leadership at the level of ever individual.
