It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Robert Leo Keough, in the arms of his loving daughters on October 27, 2019 at the age of 82, of the Goulds. He was a beloved father, grandfathe­r and great grandfathe­r and a long-time employee of Bowering Park. Predecease­d by his wife Patricia (2013), two precious sons: Randy (2017) and Michael (2018) and also members of the Keough and Birmingham families. Leaving to mourn his loss, are his loving daughters: Joanne, Terri (Don, deceased), Christine and Audrey (Shawn Lee); Son Barry (Sandra); daughter-in-law Barbie; precious grandchild­ren: Jamie, Darlene, David, Zachary, Travis, Cameron, Ryan, Jennifer, Nicholas, Rebecca, Abby, Damien, Jasmine, Madison; joys of his life great grandchild­ren: Myla, Parker, Sophia, Violet, Isabell, Lyla, and baby Kearsey on the way; sisters: Alice (Bob Trahey), Eleanor Pynn (Tom, deceased); sisters-in-law: Gloria and Mary Keough; brothers-in-law: Lew (Len) Birmingham, Roger (Barb) Birmingham, Hugh Kennedy, Chess Abbott; sisters-in-law: Melly (Al) Hearn, Dorothy (Paul) Perron, Mary Spragg, Dot Birmingham and Lorraine Peters, also with many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly. The family with like to say a sincere and heartfelt thank you to the palliative home care especially the nurses Tammy Lee Joyce and Susan White, and all family and friends for their thoughts and prayers. Flowers gratefully accepted, or donations may be made in Robert’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Newfound and Labrador. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Tuesday, October 29th and Wednesday, October 30th from 1pm-9pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Kevin’s Parish, Goulds on Thursday, October 31st at 11am, with cremation to follow.
