The family of Dianne Somerton Caines regrets to announce her sudden passing at her home in St. Jones Within at the age of 70. Dianne was predecease­d by her parents Clarence and Lillian Somerton, her brothers Trevor, Rick and Terry, her sisters Shelly Campbell and Alecia Tonner, her special cousin Rosalind Scholz and brother-in-law Cyril Broderick. Leaving behind to miss her forever, her husband and love of 32 years Brian Caines. Her children, Kimberley Somerton (Wade), Karl (Joyce) Vatcher, Kurt (Leigh Ann) Vatcher, Kristopher (Oat) Vatcher and David Vatcher; her step daughters Christeena (Ian) Caines and Lisa Caines. Dianne leaves behind her precious grandchild­ren who she loved with her entire heart, Ashley Wind (Pierce), Jodi Duruisseau, Ashley Reid, Kayla Aylward (Mike), Raymond Aylward, Alecia Vatcher (Amber), Liam Vatcher, Alexandria Vatcher, Cain Vatcher, Caleb Vatcher, Chelsea Vatcher, Aleigha Vatcher, Katelyn Leggo and Rebecca Leggo. Also left behind are great grandchild­ren Amber, Summer, Hailey, River, Harmonie, Londyn, Jacob and Emily. Dianne also leaves behind her brothers Fred (Brenda), Allan (Bev), Kenny and Dave (Beulah) and her precious sisters Rosanna Broderick, Jacquline Williams (Deland) and Debbie Somerton, In-laws Judy Somerton and Norm Campbell; a very large circle of adored nieces and nephews who were proud to call her aunt; very special friends Susan and Gord Hovencamp, Cliff and Vera Seaward and Doreen Baird (Tony); the Caines Family; Fred Scholz and Angie Fowler. The family would like to extend thanks to Dr. Paul Solomon of Clarenvill­e who cared for her for many years and to special friends Mike and Judy Spurrell for being there when we needed you most. Thank you. There will be no visitation as per Dianne’s wishes. There will be a memorial service on Wednesday, October 30th at 2 pm at Barrett’s Chapel on 328, Hamilton Ave. Private inurnment at a later date.
