Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family at the Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear on Monday, January 27, 2020, Phyllis Ash of Carbonear, age 96 years. Predecease­d by husband: Eric; daughter: Lillian Hillier; parents: Francis and Louise Milley; brothers: Wallace and Herbert; sisters: Myrtle Pottle, Ethel Wicks, Elsie Jones, Lillian Love, and Leona Churchill. Leaving to mourn, three daughters: Elsie (Wes) Rowe, Carbonear, Marilyn (Larry) Bridger, Red Deer, AB, and Cathy (Junior) Somers, Carbonear; three sons: Ches (Marie), Carbonear, Eric (Janice), Harbour Grace, and Ken (Marlene), Halifax, NS; son-in-law: Terry Hillier, Grand Falls-windsor; sixteen grandchild­ren: Stephen (Cindy), Gregory (Erin), Michael (Jennifer), John (Kim), Heather, Brian (Lesley), Nancy (Darren), Jason (Sarah), Colin (Rebecca), Kimberly (Ron), Matthew, Krista, Natalie, Ryan, Melissa (Brandon), and Allison; fourteen great-grandchild­ren: Addison, Evelyn, Grace, Lauren, Graeme, Chloe, Jack, Abigail, Madison, Matthew, Mackenzie, Everett, Adalya, and Lucas; two brothers: Raymond (Pearl) Milley, Burnt Point and Carson (Emily) Milley, Ontario; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel’s Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Tuesday, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Wednesday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, January 30 at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Carbonear. Interment in the Salvation Army Cemetery, Carbonear.
