He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is remembered as a hardworking man, serving 30 years at sea with the Canadian Coast Guard. He began as a cook’s helper and progressed to ship’s Bosun, where he earned the respect of all who sailed with him. From his days on Old Shoe Cove Road playing cards, cornhole, and camping in La Manche Park, he tormented everyone. He loved to go for a drive (shotgun) and always made sure there was a feed involved along the way. There are too many friends to mention, but he loved each and every one in his own way. He was blessed with many life-long friends and loved to see them all come visit over the years. Our family would like to extend a thank you to dear friend and Public Health Nurse, Michelle Rossiter, Dr Peter Morry and the staff of the Dr. Bliss Murphy Cancer Clinic for providing such loving care for. Cremation has taken place and considering current public health advisories, funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.
