Mom spent her life in just three homes. She was raised on Bambrick St, surrounded by the Murphy and Walsh families. Her marriage to Doug saw a move to a new house on Bell’s Turn, then on the outskirts of the city. There she and Doug raised their family surrounded by a number of large families and supportive neighbors. The Bell’s Turn community continues to remain close to this day. Mom’s final move was to a comfortable apartment in Pleasantville, where she was able to maintain her fierce independence in caring for herself. At mom’s fervent request, cremation has taken place. There will be a private inurnment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Family and friends will gather for a Catholic celebration when it is safe to do that. As a gesture of remembrance please consider a donation to Daffodil Place in St. John’s or your local food bank.
