Carey Price’s wife announces baby No. 3 is on the way

- STU COWAN

Carey Price’s wife is pregnant with the couple’s third child.

Angela Price broke the news on her Instagram account Monday morning.

“Baby Price number 3 coming this fall!” she wrote, along with a photo of her and Price together in Kennewick, Wash., where they are staying during the COVID-19 pandemic to be near her family. “We have been sitting on this news for quite some time, but due to everything going on we kept putting off the announcement. My growing bump has made it so we couldn’t put it off any longer though.”

The Canadiens goalie and his wife already have two daughters: Liv, who turned four last month, and Millie, who turned one last December.

“I think your priorities change, for sure,” Price said after becoming a father for the first time. “Hockey is second to parenting. It’s added pressure and it’s also taken off some pressure. I think the best thing is when you come home from work (after practice) and she’s just woke up from her nap, so she’s in a good mood.”

Price added that the best parenting lesson he learned from his dad, Jerry, was to stay calm.

“A child really feeds off your emotions, so being able to have a steady and calm presence in any situation is a good thing,” Price said. “Don’t be quick to anger. My dad’s a very mellow person and I think that was huge for me as a kid.”

No ice for Canadiens in Brossard

Monday was the first day NHL players could hit the ice in small groups at their team’s training centres in Phase 2 of the league’s Return To Play Plan.

However, there is no ice for Canadiens players at the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard.
