ANDREWS Sybil Ruby (TUCKER)

-

In the early morning hours of Thursday, July 9th, Sybil Ruby (Tucker) Andrews slipped away from this life after a short but difficult battle with cancer. She is pre-deceased by her mother and father, Reg and Ruby Tucker; her in-laws, Reg and Neta Andrews and her little grandson, Dominic Andrews. Her three sons...jeff (Jenna) with Emily, Josh & Ethan; Darren (Aislinn) with Eden, Colin & Leila; Greg (Leia) with Eliot & Simon; as well as ‘adopted’ son, Floyd, will morn their mom and nanny’s passing for days, weeks and months to come. Her three sisters, Judy Whalen, from Brampton, ON, Lois Tucker and Linda (AL) Gurke, from Nanaimo, BC are also deeply saddened by their sister’s passing. In addition there are many relatives from both the Andrews, Tucker and Maunder families who cherish her memory, not the least of which are Uncle Roy Maclellan (97 years old) and Aunt Jean Maunder, with whom Sybil had a special relationship! Of course, Sybil’s kind demeanor touched many lives so there are many today who mourn her departure and cherish her memory. Due to COVID-19 restrictions that prohibit most of our family and friends from participating, there will be no visitation at this time. We may do a Celebration of Sybil’s Life at a later date as restrictions are eased. We do have a Facebook memorial page, “Remembering Sybil Andrews”, set up by my son, Jeff, where you can share a memory, tell a story, express your thoughts, etc. In addition our Sunday morning church service, July 12th, will include a Reflection/honoring segment; if you wish, you may view the livestream on the Victory Christian Centre Facebook page at facebook.com/vccnl. Often at times like this, people are encouraged to give to a special charity. We would like to suggest, to honor Sybil’s way of living, that you simply “pay forward” or bless someone in your world with an act of kindness in her memory.
