Steele Auto Group continues N.L. expansion

Buys Corner Brook’s Humber Motors Ford

Humber Motors Ford in Corner Brook has been sold to Steele Auto Group of Dartmouth, N.S..

“We are pleased to welcome the team from Humber Motors Ford to our growing team of over 2,000,” Rob Steele said in a news release.

“The addition of this dealership is an important one as it enhances our footprint in the Corner Brook market, where we operate City Chrysler, Parkway Hyundai and Fairway Honda.”

The deal is the latest acquisitio­n for the company, following transactio­ns in the winter for Royal Garage outlets in Newfoundla­nd and three dealership­s in Saint John, N.B.

“I have enjoyed being a member of the Ford family for the last 10 years, and I want to thank our customers that we have had the pleasure to serve during that time,” said Paul Antle, president and CEO of Pluto Investment­s Inc., in the release issued Monday.

“I can’t say enough about our incredible team of loyal employees and sincerely thank them from the bottom of my heart.

“I am pleased to hand the business over to fellow Newfoundla­nder and Labradoria­n Rob Steele and pass along my best wishes for continued success here in western Newfoundla­nd and southern Labrador.

“The Steele Auto Group will continue to offer our valued customers excellence in customer service and the Ford buying experience.”

Kim Day, president and COO of Steele Auto Group, said the company believes in developing and promoting from within so career advancemen­t opportunit­ies and mobility around its network are accessible to all staff.
