HAWCO, Dianne Margaret

-

March 10, 1951 - May 17, 2021,It is with the deepest sadness that the family of Dianne Hawco, formerly of Bell Island, would like to announce her sudden but peaceful passing with Bill holding her gentle hands and her family close by. She was lifted up on angels’ wings to be greeted into the arms of her parents, Mary and Steve Hawco and her brother, Terry. Left with the most beautiful and precious memories of all the love they shared for so many years, are her husband, Bill Hutchings, son, Lee (Kaitlin) Hutchings and her precious granddaughter, Lila, who dearly loved her nanny and Nanny so adored her. Left with equally broken hearts and a lifetime of wonderful memories are her four brothers, Steve (Valerie), Don (Barb), Colin (Bonnie) and Tony; three sisters, Joan (Keith) Kent, Paula (Rodney) Powell and Carol (Leo Fitzgerald); special aunt, Winnie Crocker; her dear nieces and nephews; other relatives and many close and special friends. Also mourning her passing are Bill’s family Lorna (Russell) Penney, Judy Power, Donnie (Carol Ann) Hutchings, Arlene (Lorne) Babb, Michelle (Derek) Barbour and Marty (Debby) Murphy. As a teacher for 30 years, Dianne was an inspiration to many with her creative and innovative ways, her advanced organizational and planning skills and her uncanny ability to touch and connect with others on a deep level. The heartwarming stories told and accolades she’s received from both students and colleagues over the years, are a true testament to the kind, dedicated and fun loving person/teacher she was. Dianne had a zest for life and squeezed every ounce of time out of every day, ensuring every moment counted. She loved gardening, shopping, travelling, dining out with friends and family, exercising, journaling and so much more. But her greatest loves were Bill, Lee, Kaitlin, little Lila and all of her family who meant everything to her, faithfully keeping in touch and always remembering to buy that special and unique gift for every birthday, anniversary and celebrated occasion. She forgot nobody. Dianne was a lady that you would have been blessed to have known and loved, certainly one you don’t meet every day. She had so much love in her heart for all. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff on 4 North A for their exceptional treatment and care of Dianne during her illness. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, Lemarchant Road on Thursday, May 20, 2021, with visitation for the public from 2-4pm and 6-9pm. A private Funeral Service will take place on Friday, May 21, 2021 at Caul’s Chapel with cremation to follow. Inurnment will take place on Bell Island at a later date. Dianne dearly loved her flowers, but feel free to honour her memory with what is best for you, because that is what she would want. Some of us have been blessed with many true and close friends … like Dianne was, but very few have been blessed with no enemies … like Dianne was.

Rest In Peace, our beautiful angel!
