Passed peacefully away on Friday June 4th 20201 at the Palliative Care Unit, L.A. Miller Centre, Pauline Hynes (Mitchell), at the age of 76 years. Predecease­d by baby son Rodney; husband Leo; parents Edmund and Grace Mitchell; parents-in-law Stephen and Jessie Hynes; baby sister Julia; brothers Stewart Mitchell and Joe Wade; and sister-in-law Ina Hynes. Leaving to mourn with loving memories her children Carl (Bonnie), Craig (Mary), Lisa Miller (Dean), Wally (Kelly); 10 grandchild­ren Scott (Melissa), Brittany (David), Tabatha (Cole), Spencer, Brittany (Darrell), Arianna (Mike), Erin (Greg), Adam, Matthew, and Michael; very special greatgrand­daughter Quinn, brother Wally (Joyce); sisters-in-law Barbara Mitchell and Lena Wade. Also leaving to mourn special friends Ada Miller, Judy Gladney and Margaret Neary. Special thank you to staff of Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Center, Doctors Cathy Popadiuk, Carla Saldana, Patty Power, and Neveu, nurses of the chemo unit, as well as the amazing and compassion­ate medical and nursing staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the Miller Centre where she spent her last week. Special thanks to special Nurse Cathy Cahill who was mom’s lifeline during her chemothera­py and Cancer Clinic visits and then as Nurse Coordinato­r for Palliative Care- you always went above and beyond for us and for that we will always be grateful. Cremation has taken place. Her Funeral will take place from St. Lawrence Anglican Church, Portugal Cove at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8th, 2021 by invitation only. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Miller Centre Palliative Care Unit.
