SMART METER UPGRADE

Nova Scotia Power has begun upgrading electrical meters to “smart meters” between Greenwood and Meteghan. The work is expected to continue into the spring and customers will be notified in advance of their meter being upgraded.

Smart meters collect information about energy usage and send it to Nova Scotia Power over a private and secure wireless network. Nova Scotia Power will use the information to generate bills and customers will have access to their daily usage information on their computer or hand-held device via “My Account”.
