Breville makes it extra easy to cook

The Breville appliance company, based in Australia, introduced a sandwich maker in the 1970s. It became an overnight success and the sandwiches were called jaffles or Brevilles.

The sandwich maker toasted the bread, heated up the inside (cheese), cut the sandwich into two and sealed the edges. Australian mothers loved it as much as their kids did.

The Breville company had been in existence for more than 40 years prior to the jaffle, manufacturing radios and televisions for the Australian market. The sandwich maker, known as the Snack’n’Sandwich, took Breville into a whole new direction. Juicers and food processors were the next appliances developed.

By the time Breville hit the North American market in 2002, the brand had gained a reputation for quality, consistency and innovation in small kitchen appliances. The Smart Ovens, a full range of toaster ovens from Mini to Pro with 13 functions, have been very popular over the years. The next leap was into microwaves. As Breville is an innovative manufacturer, the popularity of air fryers has been incorporated into the Combi-Wave microwave.

The Combi-Wave is an air fryer, convection oven and microwave in one. It has 10 functions with the Element IQ patented system that puts heat where it’s needed based on the function. The Element IQ is what makes the Breville appliances ‘Smart.’ This microwave can Smart Cook, Smart Reheat, Smart Defrost, Air Fry, Cook from Frozen, Combi Cook, and Grill. Then there are the features of A Bit More More, when you just need a touch more browning or cooking, Child Lock Controls, and the ability to turn off the turntable.

The Combi-Wave is the top of the line for Breville microwaves. There is also the Smooth Wave with another patented feature, the Power Smoothing Inverter. The inverter does a better job of the off/on function of an element so the heat is more consistent. This means food is reheated without the edges over cooking while the inside is still cool.

The Soft Close is a compact version of Breville microwaves, with the same Smart sensing so your food is reheated perfectly. All the microwaves have touch screens or buttons with pre-set functions for your favourites, such as popcorn, reheating, defrosting and a food menu for quick cooking of specific things.

The Smart Toaster Ovens have been around for a long time and are very popular.

The Breville line of espresso makers, kettles and toasters sets up a kitchen perfectly. Breville also offers a waffle maker, wok, several food processor and juicer choices, and hand mixers and blenders. It’s a wide range with Smart features in all the products.

One of my favourite things about the Breville line is the power cord. It’s a simple thing but the cord is designed with a finger hole at the plug end. The finger hole means you smoothly and safely can remove the cord without strain on the wiring. Simple and innovative.

It’s summertime and with summer comes heat. Take the heat out of your kitchen with Breville. Let the Combi-Wave or the Smooth Wave microwaves do the work. You can relax and stay cool.
