Deals already lost due to new tax

Since the announcement of the new tax, I’ve had three contracts ask for their deposit back and to withdraw from the purchase. This is a reaction to this negative tax.

Common sense says you impose a new tax only on newly written contracts.

I suggest we restrict foreign buyers from buying resale homes; they should be able to buy only new homes.

That would stimulate job creation. And if the government still feels a need to add a tax, make it five per cent. Leo Ronse, Langley
